1986: You Had to Believe We Were Magic

Nothing could stand in our way…

The year: 1986

When the men were strong, the women were good looking, and football players could rap.

And I was a freshman in high school.

And my BFF Michelle and I might have spent more time learning this than teasing our hair…

And the good news?

They’re making a comeback. Oh yes they are, and it makes my heart sing with joy and thanksgiving. It looks as though Mike Singletary, Willie Gault, and John McMahon are resurrecting their rapping skills for the Superbowl this year.

AND- if that’s not enough…REO Speedwagon and Styx are traveling together in February, and I don’t know about you, but I can’t fight this feeling anymore. I might just have to go full 80’s for the next few weeks. Hi Infidelity anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

I heart the 80’s!

Now, I’ve got to go find my neon jellies and my Xanadu album!

See y’all!

I love the eighties too! That is why my son’s name is Cameron, from Ferris Bueller! . All though he turned out to be a hippie, he is well schooled in where his name came from!
